Over a year since its launch, the Konnect High Throughput Satellite (HTS) is entering its final wave of Over The Air (OTA) testing while commissioning its fifth gateway in Sofia, Bulgaria. Excitingly, this powers up our Freedomsat Africa platform to enable commercial internet services to over 40 countries across sub-Saharan Africa, with headline download rates of 50Mbps available.

Bentley Walker have focussed on creating a wholesale and cash positive platform to provide its partners with the operational support to permit them to concentrate on the service delivery of their own clients upon their own terms. Using the Hughes Jupiter 2 satellite systems with antenna dish sizes as small as 74cm, the importance of enabling our resellers ease of delivery and reduction in the cost-of-service acquisition is apparent.

Many of our partners have assisted us with the OTA tests necessary to bring the Freedomsat Konnect platform to this phase of commercial service delivery and we are now wanting to encourage all resellers across Sub Saharan Africa to review our offering and to join us as we establish our preferred distribution network within each country.
